Wake up and smell the pissed off....

 
     All week you have to be someplace, you have to go to work to pay the bills. The weekend is supposed to be the days you do not have to be anyplace until you want to be. The weekend is a time to relax and enjoy.

Unless you have an Angus life.

     So here is how things go for Angus. I am an early bird by habit. Many times people I know say to me "Why the hell are you so upbeat this early in the morning"....well this is your answer..its mid-day to me that’s freaking why.

Some days it is not by choice.

     Its Saturday and I am up at 4:30am. I am used to being a morning person, and most times I am OK with that. But I think the way you wake up is the way your day is going to be. If you wake up on your own and roll over and yawn and stretch then get up and start your day, its going to be OK. That’s the kind of morning I crave.

     This is how today my wonderful Saturday, no work day started. I am laying in bed all nice and warm no worries in the world. I am all snuggled in as the day had not started yet. I open my eyes a second to grab hold of the covers and yank them off my feet...( again another story, of why my feet must stay uncovered may appear here if I get around to it ) and I see a flashing light outside of the Window.

     I don’t care who you are if you wake up to a flashing light you have to look out the Window. Whats going on, who is flashing lights out side my Window...Now let me preface this with this notion..i am colorblind and sometimes have a very tough time distinguishing colors..so when I see flashing lights..what ever they are I take notice as a reflex. Being 4:30am, it can be a few things.

1.) An Ambulance, we do have a few neighbors who tend to injure or come down with an illness and need to be taken to the hospital. ( FYI: Our neighborhood is a mix of people and they are all pretty great )

2.) Firetrucks and something is on fire.

3.) Cops and we have a drunk or a party that got out of hand and people are rolling around on the ground or running down the street nude ( Yes I have seen this and just shrugged and went back to bed )

4.) I have one a sweepstakes and they are setting up to surprise me ( Still am crossing my fingers on that one ) ( FYI- I am hard to surprise, for some reason I always know ahead of time )

So of course I drag myself out of bed and look out the window. I am thinking as I cross the short distance, ooo what can it be......

     Then I see the paper delivery persons Van on the side of the road..with this monster nuclear freaking blinker on...Are you freaking kidding me..who made that light..Chernobyl!!!!!!!!! Why do you have your blinker on...its 4:30am and no freaking cars come down this street unless ..well read the numbered entries above.

And now I am awake, and once I am awake that’s it..I'M up.

Thanks the gods for the coffee maker Bonny got me for Christmas...It makes being up so early worth it.
